PERSONAL CANCELLATION PROTECTION
What is Personal Cancellation Protection?
RiverBarge Excursion Lines, Inc. recognizes that circumstances may cause you to cancel your excursion plans with us. Through
our Personal Cancellation Protection (PCP), RiverBarge Excursion Lines, Inc. offers you the opportunity to protect your vacation
investment under any circumstances. Our PCP is the easiest and most clear cut method of cancellation protection available
anywhere. Here’s how it works:
- There is one set price per person for each excursion. Both guests in the same stateroom
must purchase PCP.
- You may purchase our PCP from initial booking up until your final payment is made.
- The single supplement of 50% also applies for PCP.
What if I need to cancel my excursion?
If you have purchased PCP, you may cancel your excursion anytime after you’ve made your final payment and before 3 p.m. on
the day of boarding. You have two options:
- Reschedule to a future excursion
- Surrender your excursion documents to RiverBarge Excursion Lines, Inc. and receive a full refund less the cost of the Personal
Cancellation Protection and a $50 per person administrative fee. NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Please note: All cancellations
must be made in writing. You can call us to cancel your excursion, but you must follow up in writing.
What if I cancel because of a pre-existing condition?
At RiverBarge Excursion Lines, Inc. we don’t worry about pre-existing conditions or any other reasons that may cause you to
cancel your excursion. We do not require any doctor’s certificates, etc. We know that if you are not able to join us at the last
minute and if you have purchased PCP, you deserve a refund. No refunds will be issued in the event of “no shows,” interruption or
cancellation by the passenger after the start of the excursion.
CANCELLATIONS
What is your cancellation policy if I haven’t purchased PCP?
All cancellations must be received in writing by RiverBarge Excursion Lines, Inc. and are subject to a $50 per person
administrative fee. If PCP is not purchased, cancellations received prior to 60 days before departure will receive a full refund
minus the administrative fee; 59-30 days prior to departure will receive a refund of 75% of the gross fare minus the administrative
fee; 29-15 days prior to departure will receive a refund of 50% of the gross fare minus the administrative fee; 14 days or less prior
to departure no refund will be issued. No refunds will be issued in the event of “no shows,” interruption or cancellation by the
passenger after the start of the excursion.

Where are the lifeboats - Safety Issue?
The R/B River Explorer can act as a lifeboat itself. Therefore, there are no lifeboats. For example, if one of the barges, say the
LaSalle is in danger, guests would be instructed to go to the Sky Deck of the other barge, the DeSoto. Once everyone is safely on
deck, and in their life jackets, the LaSalle would be separated from the DeSoto and guests would be brought to safety. There is a
safety meeting onboard the R/B River Explorer during the first day of barging to explain this procedure.

What may I see while onboard?
The “insiders” aspect of our experience is very important to a RiverBarge Excursion because our unique trips are created with a
lot of help and advice from old friends along our routes. The BargeMasters, with many years of experience on the rivers, will help
you explore the soul of America, experience its culture and history through visits, song and story. Our focus is always the river,

small towns. Some of the places may even be off the beaten path.
